IC question for Reg

Frank-S

New member
Reg. My CS6 PI gave up the ghost not repairable.
I have a CS4 in ment condition.I desided to modify cs4 by increase timing.
The cs6 has a 555 timer by adding a 12k across R5 from 555 timer will increase dept.
The cs4 has no 555 timer.
IC's in cs4 are NA5534ap, ( 2)- TL062CN and(1) PIC16C711-04/P.
I am not sure what IC is the timer can you tell me what pin on the TL062CN will make it
run faster, also the PIC16C711-04/P IC.
I have a book on 555 timers nothing on the other IC's.
You know a lot about IC's and how to increase out-put.
Thanks Frank.

Hi Frank,

Unfortunately, the CS 4 timing of different functions is controlled by a micro controller. That is what the pic is and does. So, without learning how to program microcontrollers, changing the timing is out. In fact, the last time I programmed a pic was about 13 years ago and I wouldn't want to try again at my age. I have too many other things I prefer to do and work on.

I am surprised the CS6 can't be fixed. Unless it was a total meltdown, one should be able to repair it.

I recommend you leave the CS 4 alone because what you want to do is quite complicated and either fix your CS 6 or find another one.
