ID Excel Batteries

Is there a trick to getting the batteries out? Mine fit so tight I was afraid I would have to dismantle the ID to get them out.

Don,

you can use a thin bladed knife to help ease them out or jar them loose by holding the detector upright and lightly hitting the coil on a carpeted floor. After you get them out stick with Energizer alkalines, they fit loose and will slide right out.

Thanks Tom, that is what I did, except for the carpet part. Ooops.

I was surprised that Fisher would include them with the ID. After about 5 hours they had already dropped to 7 volts.
