ID Help on Belt Buckle

AK in KY

New member
Can anyone tell me what I have here? Found at a home built in 1810.
Found in Kentucky. I have been told the letters stand for Kentucky State Guard.
Thanks

Nice find AK! Although it has CW affiliation, as mentioned the contruction is post CW. I would say 1872-74 at the earliest. It is similar to the Hagner plates/buckles of the "Indian Wars" era. An uncommon find, congrats! Good hunting, David @ Dixie
