id on punch

anyone know how old this may be, and what type of punch? it was for? thanks, did not dig, was in my garage.

Does the die portion (which unscrews from the lower jaw) have a hole in it (to receive the punch)? If so, it's probably an earlier form of a Whitney punch.

That is a tooth set for handsaws. Gives the teeth an offset to make the kerf though the wood.

Yours is probably early to mid 1900s but they are still used. I bet yours has an O on the inside of each handle if not worn off.
