my family and I went to visit the Bishop Pumpkin Farm this last weekend. It is family tradition to do so every year. We always have a blast there. Hay rides, corn maze, pig races, petting zoo, live music for kids, places to eat, kids train ride, playground etc. The hay ride is free and takes you out to the pumpkin patches ( there are 4 of them) where you get to pick your pumpkin right off the vine. If you choose to walk back you can go through the walnut orchard and eat the walnuts right off the tree. theres also an almond orchard and apple orchard. yummy. They sell fresh pies made on site as well as other baked goodies, carmel apples and all the food is made on site. It is a real deal working farm that covers roughly 400 acres or so..
and is very famous around these parts. anyways......when I was out there I noticed all the other people enjoying the day there to. roughly there was about a couple hundred just on the day I went. and I got to thinking..How many people visit this place every year? then I started looking towards the ground. It was covered in hay and bark chips and grass. Even then parking lot was filled with hay and grass. You all know where I am going with this.....
So I thought to myself....I wonder how many people have lost stuff out here? Well when I got home I emailed the farm asking permission to MD the place. and now its just a waiting game for a response....oh besides the pumpkin patch..they are also open for company picnics and get togethers like bday parties and such. and a christmas time and other off season things. wish me luck on obtaining permission.
