If anyone uses or knows about the Joey coil...

My thought was to buy one to have in addition to my EXP II 1050 coil. I have been mainly hunting parks / homes, and they have not been super trashy. Do you think the separation in a semi trashy area for the Joey is worth it? What about in really trashy areas...is it much better than the 1050?

I just sold my 8" minelab coil because I have been using the 1050 and WOT all the time...just looking for something that gets good depth, and separates

Thanks for the comments!

about every 2 1/2 or 3 years.

What on earth could they possible do to the Explorer SE to better it or rather replace it. Hmm...... maybe THE Codan Explorer(color LCD and gps plus?)

It'll be very interesting to see what will entice us with any make overs they may make, if any....... . :beers:

The Joey is an excellent little coil. I used one for several years. If you are using the 1050 and WOT it would be a good coil to add to your arsenal.

I love my Joey coil 5x10. It is great in the parks and trashy areas. I have found over 221 coins in the last three weeks and several were silvers. I also found a couple rings.

When I get a lot of hits with my standard coil I pull out Joey. Come to think of it I just keep the joey on unless I am in a wide open field. Pin pointing is pretty good also.
