If the G2 Will hunt like the Gold Bug S.E. we are in for a treat ...If it will out hunt the GBSE we are in for :surprised:

I have been using the G.B. for a few weeks in pounded sites and it is easily pulling target's either masked by bad dirt or Iron or a nasty combo!!!

I have managed to find a U.S. Boxplate in some funky bad dirt swung to death...
A U.S. spur in some bad ground 4 F.E. bars
And a super awesome Rare South Carolina State Button circa 1830's in some iron infestation ....
then some other odd's and end buttons and such from iron littered areas.....

Believe me these places are pure Heck to hunt and have peen beat on.. But the GBSE with the 11" Bi-Axial on the 19Khz and ability to set your own tone break point has proven awesome...

Just want ya'll to know that you should be getting excited if the G2 has more sens than the G.B. we should be in for some good times :twodetecting:

Thanks for looking

Congrats Keith. Curious, how are you using the tone break feature on the GBSE? (How is it helping you compared to say a T2 which doesn't have it? It seems like it would unmask better)
Also, I'm curious if the GBSE locks on to coins better than the T2, any findings? (Yes, I'm envisioning Teknetics next coin detector. eheh)

I use the tone break as the site allows... And yes it helps in un-masking in 2 tone mode when comparing it to the t-2 in 2-tone mode...And also offer's more info that the T-2 and such can't allow in there 1-tone mode...It really help's hearing what you are rejecting .. If you can't hear what's under your coil how do you know how to effectively hunt? I believe it is as important to know what you don't want to dig as it is what you wan to dig to effectively hunt a site ..now that's just my take and I know other's have different ideas about a perfect type detector setup and I understand that completely but for a more surgical dig it all type attitude the G.B. platform is my cup of tea (and it has excellent disc capability}

The 19Khz has a real affinity for low conductor's compared to what first texas has offered us so far with the t-2 and f-75...Plus it is a lot more quite ..I run 100 gain everywhere I hunt and it's basically just an occasional chirp ...This helps in hearing the click's and spit's of the super deep item's or masked item's that if the machine was rackety would go unnoticed ...

And if the target is round it is out of the ground ..So yes it is a very capable coin machine...It just dosent have the ability to say multi tone or notch like a more conventional coin shooter..but if you want to get deep coins in well hunted places it is the ticket for that...

Now if you wanted to say hunt for just some clad at a an area that get's replenished often like parks and such you can set the disc on 80 and dig just copper pennys up with ease everything else silenced ...Or put it on 79 disc and the zinc are low grunt everything below 78 silenced and copper 80 and above high .( it was designed for this purpose) great for flash money...

No Nickels like this but I will add the target I.D. is very stable and works very well at depth ..Actually the target I.D. numerically is the most accurate and stable First Texas has offered to date. That was one of the first things that grabbed my attention and I am not even a target I.D. watcher it was just so accurate on target's I could call the shot gun hull's and 22 hull's before digging and eagle button's and civil war bullets just lock on as do coin's...

I hunted a real junk hole yesterday morning ..It will occasionally give up a relic but it's trashy...well low and behold for the first time I was pulling coins in there at depth with perfect I.D.in just plain old larger iron laying everywhere... They were copper wheat penny's at around 8 inches average and I got them easily in junk environs in an area I have swung repeatedly ..So yes if you can accept the no-frill's raw power streamlined package...You can really clean up in a site previously hunted....

It will dig coin's fine...For me I like it better than the Omega for even high conductor's.. But that's just me...and It quickly replaced my T-2 as my go to machine...It is a machine I run anywhere with full confidence and satisfaction that I am giving it my best shot with current VLF technology...

Thanks

Keith

Fisher should put it in the online review section.

I was just thinking about the evolution in iron handling between the T2 and Omega and your comment about pulling those wheats out next to large iron 'fits' as to what we can expect in next generation machines.

Hi-Yo Silver!

Keith is correct my GB can run at max sense even at a salt beach.
Digging at a small old site a hit a Indian head and a Wheaty at around 6 inches both had a hard lock #
on the ID and after popping the plug i had to go without my hand pinpointer because all the iron in the holes,
my pinpointer was useless as it barked like a dog with all the iron.
