If you hate photos of monster piles of clad don't look. (Seriously DON'T look!)

I had been on a serious Easter winning streak for several years. It probably ended today but there were bright spots. The dolphin thing in photo 2 might be white gold but I doubt it. The watch also looks like it was once decent quality. It reads 17 jewels. A cool Euro 20 cent coin, a new token for my collection, 2 wheats, 2 cool key rings.

I suppose the star of my day is that I beat my old one day clad record which I thought would stand forever. It was close to my batteries dying so I decided to go until they did. They never did actually die completely but I almost did. Note at least a roll of each denomination of coin except nickels and I was only 6 away there. Wish I could have kept hunting. My pinkie was actually bleeding on the drive home. Yep I have it bad. I went 5 hours. Two sites. 235 coins for $24.84. I had one coin spill of 19 coins (Thank God!) My old record was 222 in one day.

How do you open that blue ball toy?

Chris

I have tomorrow off. I will probably metal detect if I can get rested up.

Wow! What a clad count! :clapping: Like that dolphin pin and watch too! Great hunting! :beers: Now get some rest....

WOW, great hunt. My back hurts just thinking of all that digging

Great day cwilk you can open the blue ball with a magnet. It's a bakuguan ball.

At site one I dug one pop top. A few bits of foil. A few eraser ferules. That saved me. 154 coins in 3 hours is a lot of coins. I started in the bark chips where there were very few coins too. When I got in the grass I found 12 coins in five minutes and I knew I was in for a good clad day. My last target at site one was a big coin spill.

I have to admit my last half hour was not all that productive. I was tired, thirsty, and hungry.

The real pain is in my fingers. They are all chapped and cracked from digging in the mud all day.

Chris

I'll need to find a stronger magnet I guess. I have a weak one that won't open it. Does the magnet have to fit in those two holes on the bottom?

Chris

Thank you!

Your on a tear. Gongrats !!!

Congratulations on a great hunt Chris. Don't you love it when you can get out for some serious hunting with good sites to hunt. Speaking of which, the wife and kids have just gone away, so I'd better get off the computer and hunt. We're actually having a wet week end for a change, so I'd better not go too far as I have no car.:nopity: and might get a bit wet in the retreat home.
Mick Evans.
