If You Knew Your Prayers Would Positively Be Answered......

What Would You Pray For?

My prayer would be that the God of Heaven would speak to the hearts and minds of people throughout our world and fill us with Love & Peace toward one another. I would pray that an end would come to war and an end to all religious denominations and differences of opinion about God's Holy Word. I would pray that God would enlighten the hearts of all humanity so we would know the truth of His Word and completely agree with one another, as it is written. I would pray that we, as a nation, would return to the God of Heaven, as our only guide and elect godly people to run our government. I would pray for an end to such organizations, as the ACLU and Planned Parenthood (abortion). I would pray that an end would come to raping God's Earth to meet our selfish desires. I would pray that, we as a nation, would totally do away with our dependence upon foreign oil and that we'd stop using fossil fuels altogether for any reason whatsoever. There's no reason, on this earth, why we cannot totally transfer all transportation and or other needs to electric and natural gas. The only thing that stops us is personal greed! And last but not least, I would pray that Jesus would return quickly, that all true believers would be with Him forever and stop the madness that permeates throughout this world. Amen.

They are always answered. Not always the answer we are looking for, but always answered.

Your both absolutely correct but it would appear you've missed the point of the question. I'll re-phrase my prayer and that may help you better understand my question (p.s. I've taken out the word 'would').

It makes me sick to heart that Christians has to be careful when discussing
the word for fear of upsetting someone because of their denomination .
This would be my prayer. To stop this maddest. Because of this I'm moving on .
This will be my last post . Some of you I will miss. -- Graw

Graw, It is what makes us human, we will have differences of opinion. It is unfortunate but is also part of what makes life interesting, how boring if we were all the same. There are others on here who were prepared to leave because of similar point of view. Glad they did not and hope you do not. We all have a lot to learn from one another and that can only happen if we spend time discussing our differences, with an open mind. Not so much so that we will fall for anything as in the statement "If we believe in everything we will fall for anything". I do agree though that sometimes Christians can be way to sensitive. I did not see that here just some one pointing out the obvious. And yes, SeniorSeeker already knew that all prayers are answered. We all should know that.

SeniorSeeker, I sometimes pray much of the same prayers as what you are posting, without the world peace thing. It would be nice but I am not entirely ready for the rapture yet. Not that I am not saved but in that I still have work to do here. No end to war until after the rapture the way I read it. Revival, I think, should be my most regular prayer. Sadly though it is not, I probably pray for sick or dying people more often. Revival in this nation would go a long way towards fixing a lot of problems.
