Cruised out Sunday for some clad digging. Got my eye on a nice Geiger 100gram silver bar, so I need to pile up some clad pronto. Anyways, off to a couple of schools to scrounge. It was a roaster of a day, 90ish with sparse cloud relief.
So it was "drunken sailor grid" in the sun for a bit, then head for shade trees and the canteen
Managed over $15 before I tossed in the towel
(It was not a Cannon!
) Also dug Batman's Tumbler Batmobile. A bit scarred and roughed up, and rightly so I suppose, 'cause the Joker and Mad Hatter aren't the easiest fellows to send back to Arkham Asylum!! Now the hunt is on to find his awesome Batpod Bike. Did find a '78 Eisenhower clad dollar, my first. It's the last year for Ike's as the Susan B. Anthony dollar was "rolled" out in '79. I've seen Ike dollars before but, after digging quarters and dimes, when this one came out of the dirt, I realized how huge the coin really is. It's got to be the King of Clad coins
The target ID was 90-91 on the Ike. I'll second what Jimtn said a few posts back, if your out in the heat, have a cool refreshing beverage handy
