illegal land (favorite spot)

Just to let you know that my favorite area for metal detecting is the border between the U.S. and Mexico.(Which is the backyard of my house). I got the longest swimming pool of the world. Illegal land is called because of the so many illegals from latin america. I have found hundreds of coins from most of the latin american countries. My best find is a wallet from an african guy with a bronze button that had a $100 dlls bill. My metal detector sensed the button under the grass and discovered the wallet. I have also found one expensive cellular and two nextels (one of them really expensive). Thank you for all your comments. Next time I will post some pictures.

Sweet Linda Must be a little scary though. Coming out your back door and not knowing who you may bump into. :surrender:

Sounds like a bonanza spot to find some great finds.
Never know what the illegals will drop in there haste !
Be careful !

I couldn't live there. There are hundreds of illegals in my tiny village and I find dozens of coins each year from Latin America. And I live 2000 miles from the border. Scary how many folks cross illegally from all around the world. Africa. Asia. Middle East.

You don't hear much about the border fence anymore but I would not be opposed to mining the border. Would make detecting a bit difficult, though.

Interesting finds and it must be hard work. Lots of junk and dangerous, I'm sure.

Yeah I live out here in the Northwest and have a jar full of coins from everywhere, but then we are an inland seaport which helps.
