...Its enough to put ya in a "lets end it all"mode-ALL the news outlets droning on about how bad it all is-SO:I told my wife:This weekend;we are puttin on Andy Williams Christmas music;Gettin some John Candy/Steve Martin movies, puttin up Christmas lights, and GETTIN IN THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT"!!!....And;NOT allowing ANY news on our TV AT ALL this weekend.....PS:Can anybody tell me the name of the movie with John Candy/Steve Martin where they get somehow stranded in Russia??GREAT movie-Gonna watch"TRAINS,PLANES AND AUTOMOBILES" WITH THEM IN IT,TOO:thumbup::super:...There is also a movie Im gonna try to find-"THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING",a comedy about a bumbling crew on a Russian submarine that gets grounded off the California coast, and their antics trying to take control of a small coastal town...Anybody have any good ideas on good movies to watch, the ones that make ya laugh and forget about the madness??Steve!!

its about ice fishing on Houghton Lake...has Ernest Borgnine of McHale's Navy fame as one of the stars of the movie. I had 2 copies...one was sent out to be passed around so everyone could see it and get a good laugh. It seems to have gotten lost somewhere...been over a year and only a couple people have seen it. The other copy is either here or at the church for our movie night.

At $20 a movie can't afford to buy any more of them to send out.

The Internet Movie Database link for the movie

Ya want one that is very well 'connected' it is like 3 stories in one story and has Sigourney Weaver in it. Its called "Holes".

Really stupid would be "Galaxy Quest" with Sigourney Weaver and Tim Allen (Home Improvement) - a space type comedy.

makes the whole family laugh everytime we see it. Another great one is "Private Eyes, with Tim Conway and Don Knotts. Spoof on murder mystery in an old mansion. One of the few movies to make me laugh so hard I cried. We boycott the news daily. Our local paper and tv stations have a very liberal slant to them, holds no interest for me what so ever. I seem to stay pretty well informed without the daily doom and gloom people. Enjoy your weekend, let us know which movies you pick.

The day after Thanksgiving we always put up the tree, some decorations, etc.... and a local station starts Christmas music all the way till the day after Christmas! :)

I don't watch the TV news and get mine from the Christian emails ( a much better source...telling the truth) and the ones that are on the Net! I watch and/or listen to Direct TV and don't bother with the local stations any more! Movies aren't my cup of tea now unless they are really, really good and don't have vulgar scenes or bad language in them! I like the ones about the Bible and what is to come and have a few CD movies by the LaHayes', who had some very good movies produced! If you want funny.....get the cartoon movies and have lots of laughs! Kids just love them, but some aren't what they should be for kids either! May you and your wife have a good weekend enjoying something besides the bad news of the worlds struggles and problems!

I liked the one with Tim Allen and his son, who had lived with his mother in Africa, I believe and was raised differently than people in New York. The son supposedly climbed the Statue of Liberty and went out the windows and on top of the statue! I found it funny, but others might not! Don't remember the title of it.....so use the Net and find some clean, funny and hilarious movies....must be some on it! God Bless!

can't see how they make money with them just sitting on a car lot. Seems a discounted sale is better than no sale
Hope you get a good deal somewhere on another vehicle God wants you to have.

Blessings

Pete
