Hello , just found this site and Iam in need of beach settings you guys use for a soverign elite just traded for this machine and no manuel and im lost as to the settings was useing a ace 250 and tesero
heard alot about this machine,but right now im at a stand still as to the settings and sounds any body know where I can get a manuel.
thanks muddyknees

Beach setings are simple on a Sov.
Disc=0
Notch=0
Volume=max
Sensitivity= 11 o'clock position to start
Threshold just barely audible.
Mode Switch=Disc

The Sov will always reject iron even with the Disc set to zero. THe threshold will null or go very low when you go over iron. If it beeps dig it. That's all there is to it!

Hope this helps!

Very stable machine at the beach ......Now I recomend leaving the meter at home if you have one ......you will wanna dig all the signals ++ it will just get sandy inside and ruin it unless you cover it,also be prepared to dig some really really deep targets......I was and still am amazed at the depth it gets on the beach.......good luck ..............

Whenever i hunt at the Beach i always search in 'all metal' I believe i get greater depth. When you get a signal, even the faintest one, switch to 'disc'. If the threshold nulls, it's trash, however if the threshold stays the same, even if it doesn't go up but stays the same, YOU DIG THAT TARGET!! This method is known as reverse discrimination & the depth that you recover your keepers will amaze you!
Goodluck!!

I also prefer to search in all metal if the type of sand will allow it....I do have a few beaches that seem to give greater depth in discrimination and though Marty's method is fine its not possible to use reverse discrimination with the Sovereign. Reverse discrim. needs a machine that can be tuned slightly away from the target and then slid across over an iffy signal. A good signal will then give a bad response, a bad signal a good one. Thats why its called 'reverse' because the audio or meter reacts in an opposite way to normal.

Guys, let me tell you frist time with the sov. I think I need a shovel found of course pulltabs sinkers, clad. but Ive never had to dig this deep with the other dect. I have. Im going to have fun with this machine come tourist season.
