i was the same way waiting for my se to arive well worththe wait first time out was dazed and confussed by it lots of beeps not at all like my xlt was thought i mite have made a mistake at first but each time out things got better and better all the time now to me the se rocks so take it slow stick with pre sets at first get used to it you will learn to love this detector good hunting
