In the rain, T2 took a lickin and kept on tickin

The weather report for this past Saturday was for cloudy skies and rain in the afternoon. I went out early in the morning with my regular hunting buddies. We decided to try an area we've been wanting to seach for a while now. To get there we had to hike about a mile through woodland. We got to the site and just started hunting when the rains came, not hard, but steady. I put a zip-loc bag over both the control unit and the battery pack---a small slit where the headphones go and the plug went right through---slipped rubber bands over to keep them in place and kept right on hunting.

Our finds were respectable---some Civil War bullet drops, a couple of buttons and a bunch of iron we are sorting out now----but this was the first time I have had my T2 out in steady rain. Twice before I was out in misting damp weather, but not rain. Additionally, I completely submerged the head in a stream with no adverse effects to the T2s operations. This was not intentional. I was crossing at the time and my foot slipped on a slick rock. I was able to catch myself, but not before the head was fully underwater. The T2 worked smoothly through it all.

I share this with the forum and hope it helps others reading with decisions to take the T2 out when it might rain.
