Indian Head Finds

Hi fellas,

This is my first post in this forum or any metal detecting forum for that matter. I've noticed the condition of the IHs that come out of the ground in various parts of the country and thought I would share some pics of the coins I have found. I live in East central Wisconsin. All of these coins were found in my area. I have not cleaned them up much, other than using water. Of course the pictures don't do justice. You can read the "Liberty" across the headband on some of these.

Maybe you guys can give me tips on scanning coins? I use Photoshop and scan them.

I am posting in this forum because I will be posting here more often when my Explorer SE arrives. :detecting:

Nice finds! They look like they are in great shape. The pictures look good on my screen. Looking forward to seeing more.

Those Pics are pretty good. The Liberty is a good thing to see on an Indian but still being able to see the triangles in the ribbon is what you look for in a high grade Indian Head Cent. The 1899 pictured has such characteristics still. WTG! All those Indians look great out of the ground in your neck of the woods. I hope you have continued success and Good Luck and HH.
