info needed on old ads unit!

hello all, my stepdad got bit by the detecting bug and got an old garrett ads detector off of ebay. unfortunately, no instructions came with it. it's the 6 9 volt slide in battery pack type. it works well, but we'd like more info on all those buttons and switches. any help is appreciated! can i go online and get a user's manual? thanks, and hh!

Go online and on your favorite search engine print in Garrett Metal Detector owners manual.There you will find some sites that have free print outs of different models. I know. Not long ago I bought a ADS Garrett on ebay with no owners manual. Found it this way. I remember fishing through a few before I found what I was looking for, but by all means get the manual, it will help you alot in getting the most out of your old detector...Hope this helps. Oh, by the way, there are two ADS models, the push button and the toggle switch model, which is located on the end of the handle. They will either say, toggle or PB. Choose what you own.

Found the site for you. Use the directions I stated, then click on the Treasure Quest Forum link that shows the manuals available..High on the list it will say ADS Deepseeker or Groundhog....If your model has a push button on the end of the handle, scroll much further down the list and you will see PB Deepseeker....Anyway, that is where the manual print out is available.
