Info On Silversmith

Tony (NC)

New member
I found a pair of silver serving tongs at a plantation in VA. They are marked "J Watson Phila" I found a link a few months ago that mentioned him and he was in business as late as 1820. I can no longer find the link. Does anyone have any information on Mr. Watson? The plantation dates back to 1759. Thanks for any help in advance.
