F75 LTD DST unit.........What is your best actual in ground measured dime size target depth ?????

I dug 3 or 4 today Elton at an honest 8", all clad.
DE with GB around 82 , sens at 75 , disc 15 no notches

Bud, Pro pin pointer deep, 9" on a recent Barber dime in D E mode and 85 sen. And several 7-8". HH jim tn

I am still in the 6" range.

Ron, what kind of dirt do you have over your way? I think if you could get to the 7-8" depth range you would pick up a few more oldies. I don't dig tons in the 8-9" range, but a fair number in the 7-8" range. HH jim tn

Jim,

I will need to get back to you on the kind of dirt we have in WV, I know I ground balance about 67 on my F75. I never really checked the FeO meter but I can do that next time out or check my yard in the morning.

Jim,

I took the 75 to my yard with the 5" coil and it ground balanced at 58 and the FeO scale was read 2 bars or .03. I know I said I GB around here about 67 and I would guess with the 11" coil I would have got something in the 60's. I put the 5" on the stick just for this mornings dirt check, wanted to make sure I was not picking up some trash in the ground.

What do you think??

If they are there, you should be able to dig some deeper coins then 6". Your ground appears to be fairly mild with the .03 reading. The 11" coil will probably read a little higher on the FeO scale, as you mentioned, but still fairly mild. My ground balance with the bigger coils is typically upper 60's and my feO is usually .1 to .3. Seemingly, you shouldn't have a problem with depth. HH jim tn
