Hi, I am planning on buying one of these locators , but I do not know anybody that has one of them. Both are alot of money and by reading the spec's on them its hard to decide.Has anyone on here , had or used one of these?

Much Much better the Lorenz deepmax , i had to change a battery in a old Lorenz deepmax , the one with analog meter and i test it.... it is far far better than a pulse star II that i know well also because i have made some coil for it .
But my advice for you and for a better price i will better buy a TDI from white (Eric foster design) and make good coil (16 inch or 40 X40 inch) with some mods.... like you can see in the forum

and you will have a much much better and accurate detector! German equipment are rough and rugged but British are more... more fine electronics

Hi,

I want to hunt for iron meteorites in Scandinavia.
I looked at the link of the whites forum that you posted.
But there are hundreds of posts in that forum, I just dont know where to start reading.

Is the TDI pro with a coil of 40x40 cm good enough for this purpose?
I have never made a coil, is this easy to do, and is there a kind of instruction video (Youtube ?) for this?

I have seen a webpage from people hunting meteorites in Scandinavia.
They used Lorenz metal detector and huge frame coil, about 2 x 1 m for making a very large detector.
Would this also be possible with the Whites TDI Pro ?

Thanks,
Rudie
