Initial testing with the Quattro

I finally got out with my Quattro in the 36 degree temps and a wind of 20mph. Winters not even here and I can't wait for spring to arrive! I set the Quattro up with a 7.5 Minelab coil and headed to a newer park close to my home. I didn't expect to find any silver coins but I did find a heart locket of .925 sterling. My outing was mainly to get a feel of the Quattro since I am an avid Explorer 2 user. The targets in the picture are targets with the number(reading) which I got for an ID. I was in the coin/jewelry mode and had the sensitivity set to auto. The deepest target I dug was the lock at 6 inches deep. I thought for a moment I may of had a silver dime. All of the other items were an average of 4 inches deep. I did find a few more clad then I have shown. Kinda of funny though, I wanted to find a zinc and I didn't. Thats almost unheard of in a newer park! When I air tested a zinc it came in at 33/34 and thats what I thought the locket was going to be as it read 34 for me and was about 3 inches deep. A pleasant surprise and I'll take it. The two large bolts fooled me as they gave me a solid 15 reading and thought they would be a nickel. The item marked 12 is a rusty bottle cap. The orange tag is a dogs tag(aluminum) The quarter rang out with a sweet hi tone of 38. The dime was a weak 37 which turned up on edge as it was also hard to pinpoint. The nickel was a solid 15.
I believe this will be one fun machine to use, once I get some of the numbers memorized and the weather warms up again. The pinpointing was excellent with the DD coil just like it is with the Explorer. I believe the depth is going to be impressive, as that lock sure rang loud from 6 inches. The tones are very similar to the Explorer in conductive and thats what I am use to. I did miss having the iron mask screen but then again this isn't an Explorer. I think the Quattro is a very easy machine to learn and use and should produce some goodies for me.
