I went back to that big school complex this am..got there at 6am. :goodnight: Very first target was right next to one of those big green electrical boxes next to the baseball field, It was pinging 92, then dropping to 87 on the wiggle, figured a piece of copper or something the electricians used, NOPE! A JFK half! the 87 right next to it was a SusanB! Alright! A buck and a half on the first hole! No way am I going bluegill fishing after a start like this Rick! That got me fired up and I gave those fields and fencelines a good sweeping, hitting loners and an occasional spill, some quite nice, 3Q's 1d, and 2 nickels I remember,,,Then I worked my way over to the OPEN Stadium GATE, and figured I'd check out the other side of the slope, very steep, like a 7-8 pitch...theres a fence on top, and the top is paved so people can walk up to the bleachers, I figured they may have dropped some clad that rolled off that side, since the other manicured side was so good to me yesterday, this side is full of weeds, they were mowed, but still about a 5"stubble. Started right in hitting targets to be danged! I got a nice sharp 78 that is usually a Canadian penny, and to my surprise it was a 64 Rosie right on the surface! I wandered back to the car and drank the last of my coffee, looked at the time, 8:38 am, good loot in a short time, F70 quick broom does it again, took the first picture, went to the nearest coinstar which is right around the corner, and came out of there with cash at 9am. Got another cup of coffee and a pack of smokes to keep the skeeters off me.:smoke: Then I went back and just started freestyling a big multi use field. Picked up the loot in the second photo and the plated fake ring...then the sun came out from behind the overcast and I had to go...back in the car at 10am. Total take was 114 coins, for 14.51 and that '64 rosie. I left the house with no money and came home feeling good about the instant gratification this sport gives us!:please:
