Instrction Manuel and Andy's Book

Parted with the 705 to get a new Safari. Will be here Monday. I have downloaded the instrution manuel and received Andy's new book on the Safari. Looked over it last ngt and I have to say it is really going to help with the learning curve. The owners manuel is a joke. Way to breif on about everything. I can wee why people get fustrated with the top 3 unit and sell them. This book should be added to every sell by dealers IMHO. I have read the first 5 pages of this forum and I can see alot of concerns that could be prevented by reading this book. I wont go into details but if you own a Safari you have got to get this book. I went with a FBS800 coil but can see I may have to go to the 6x8 sef or 5" as I hunt some really trashy places. My 2 best hunting buddies use Etracs so not sure Ill find anything behind them but I have noticed some suggestions from Andy that may give me a edge. They dont use 2 tone ferrious for one where I can use crossaving to check targets.

It will take you a while to get use to Safari but you will be equal to better than all detectors on the market at this time.I am using 6X8 coil about 90% of time and hunting in lots of junk dug my deepest coin to date with 6X8 yesterday a real clean 1895 Indian head at the lenth of garret pinpointer about 9 inches was reading a clear 28 locked in all the way to bottom on depth gauge started raining and I quit made my day.I know the pro coil will go a little deeper but pinpointing and recover is better with 6x8 your off to good start by reading Andy's Book wish I had it for first six months I had my Safari.Good Hunting

I use the 6x8 coil 90% of time also with similar results, It is a nice coil to add for trashy areas. Thanks for the numbers on the IH Prep, I usually never dig those numbers.
