Interesting horse bridle decorations ,,brass hearts

Live in a brick farm house built in 1858 found a and a strange horse bit under the large maple tree.found some brass hearts with leather strap for a horse bridle...tree is over a hundred yrs old ..found a 4.5 foot buggy rim from the late 1800,s 15 in deep in the front yard..oldest thing found was a 1913 wheat by the road.13 inches deep ..so far no silver or anything older than a 65...do far have dug 2 big cat litter pans of scrap iron so when i get the yard cleaned up maybe ill find something..there is all kinds of signals in the tree roots i cant dig..the tree has consumed the treasures..also have 11 acres of woods to hunt .indian camps were all over here in hardin county ohio...learning the V3i and having fun,,found a 1850,s union calvary officers guilded cuff button and a 1887 IH in town after they tore down a building to make a park in town ..now starting to do some field hunting with the corn and beans off..no luck yet..got about $4.50 in clad from the yard..gotta be some good stuff somewhere..happy hunting,,gregg in ohio.............will post pics when i figure out how to resize the pic..
