Interesting Pin I dug up

scubadetector

New member
I found this G.F.W.C. pin in the dirt and decided to do some research on it. Looks to be from the General Federation of Woman's Clubs. Which started in 1868 But took on that name in 1890. The backmark is Braxmak N.Y. I can't find out much about the company. Looks like it was in business in the late 1800's to the very early 1900's. It appears to be sterling but not marked. The pin is missing but the pin holder and loop are still intact. Anybody have anything further to add??

I have a bunch of weird pins. If interested will post a few more.
