Interesting Relics from the Old Homestead

Erik in NJ

New member
The first relic that I found is the little lead (?) horse. The little guy is about an inch and a half tall and he's got lots of very fine detail. Notice how very finely (thinly) cast the legs are - anyone have an approximate date on this guy?

The lock is very cool and appears to be made of copper (from where I gouged it). The locking bar (U shaped thing) is hinged and opens right to left. Note the crescent logo on each side - on one side is a single dimple and on the obverse there are two dimples. Very interesting - anyone ever seen one like this before? ANyone have an id or approximate age/origin?

The last item that I'm going to display (I found a few more things, but these were the more interesting relics) is some sort of partial leaf that has broken off of some item - I have not found the original item that it came from. It is quite small - only about 1/2" long and fairly thin. I'm not sure what type of metal it's made of but it looks quite old. Any ideas on this one?

Thanks for looking....Erik
