Interesting...the National Guard used to be US only protection

within the confines of each State. No foreign service. They were never meant to leave the country but to remain in our country to protect it. Since so many military bases were closed over the years and the downsizing of the military the National Guard became a part of the Army....going out of the country to fight wars. Not going to say who is to blame for this but....who is protecting us now inside our country? Homeland Security?

Never knew we (Michigan) had an all volunteer force....doing what the National Guard used to do (for money)...but doing it for free and having to buy one's own uniforms to boot.

The Michigan State Defense Force was established on 17 April 1917 by Act Number 53 in the Public Acts of Michigan which established the Michigan State Troops. That Act provided for two forces to be developed. First was the Home Guard that was to serve the military mission intrastate assignment and service expanding and remaining needs as the Michigan National Guard was federally activated for World I. The second force was the Michigan State Troops Permanent Force (MSTPF) with state constabulary authority, which continues today as the Michigan Department of State Police. The Michigan State Troops (state defense force) was active intrastate in World War I, World War II and during the Korean Conflict, but was deactivated on 30 June 1952. On 09 July 1988 Michigan

I hope other states have Volunteers to fight the enemies in time of attacks against American citizens! They were prevalent in the South and among farmers and their families in other states! But BO will end this if he can, because of taking our guns away until only Socialists and criminals have guns to control us instead of helping us! The enemy is the US president and his cronies! May God have mercy on America and its righteous citizens! Don't know if MO has Volunteers or not, but I think the righteous would rise up in indigination and fight back, as we still have godly wisdom and Spiritual understanding in many yet!
