had a major dislocation, had reconstructive surgery in 1977. 2 years ago, tore the rotator cuff. I am an avid bowler, want take up tomuch time on that, but that is how I dislocated it the first time. Back in June I was pracicing for a tournmnet in Las Vegas when I thought I strained a tendon(actually I had torn the tendon) and had to cancel my Vegas tournamnet and then 3 weeks ago, my wife and went riding on the Harley and she usually gets on from the left side, well her left knee was bothering her some, so I said get on from the right side, well just holding the bike steady and having my arm extended, when she stepped up on the foot peg and I steadied the bike with my arm and legs of course, the tendon snapped in my shoulder. If anyone had a video camera going at the time in the parking lot where we were, I am sure we would have been on you tube by now.
Luckily, there was a guy who was walking out of the store and ran over to help, as we slowly fell over. He helped me get the bike up. I didn't realize that my tendon had snapped because I was embarassed for falling over (I have been riding for over 40 years). Well I was onthe right side of the bike and as I went to get on, I fell over again as I didn''t have any strength in my arm and when I leaned the bike over a little it just kept going. The guy help get it again, well I got on and I was dizzy, I guess from the injury as I fell over on the left side this time. That's why said I would be on you tube by now. Well the guy helped get the bike up nd got the kick stand down and I looked at my arm and the bicep was all balled up toward the elbow, then I understood why I was in pain and dizzy. All I had to drink was a Diet Pepsi. I don't drink alcohol and ride my bike. Then I started laughing as I pictured how that had to look, since the parking lot was full of people. I just know people had to think I was drunk or just insane. Probably thought, here is an old geezer, just got him a Harley and don't know how to ride the thing. The hard part was, my wife and I had to ride the bike home which was about 60 miles. Needless to say by the time I got home, I was ready to go to the emergency room.
