I didn't know this function was in the Deus? It's not shown in the owners manual? Looks real good at picking off bottle caps, and scrap! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izfzu1egbT4

Anyone who knows how to properly run the XP Deus has no use for this screen. Its not in the manual because it is not a supported feature.

But in a nutshell . . . . .

The XY Visualization screen has some value in checking signals in areas where ferrous targets hit in the upper coin range; i.e., bottle caps, but it has no benefit in using it as a primary search mode. Eveyrthing you see on the screen is also provided through the TID and audio signals. You can be assured that if XP felt it was a viable primary seaech tool it would be in the manual and touted as a feature on the Deus.

And before we hear about how it is the "cat's meow" for cherry picking gold jewlery, as others have said, you can't see anyhthing in terms of picking jewlery out from aluminum that you would not get from other screens. We have seen this thread repeat itself several times over the past 9 months or so.

But if you feel it works as a primary search function, then by all means keep using it but if others are looking at using it for this application, try doing some testing on in-ground targets before you take that leap.

Just one opinion

Andy
