IRON ORE saturated ground

I was going to attempt a search of a older house in Buffalo, NY.
The problem is there was train tracks next door to the place and many train cars loaded with IRON ORE went through that area during Bethlehem Steel haydays...
The ground is saturated with the stuff...
How would you approach this kinda ground ?????

I have attempted to search around several old train stations. I have yet to find any kind of soil that could not be searched with a good detector. I have found some sites that are not worth the effort as far as I am concerned. The train stations I searched for a brief period of time was driving me up the walls but is appeared to be from three sources. One was rock and gravel used in the rail beds and the other was clinkers from the days when coal was used to fire the boilers. The other worse problem was they had a lot of brick that sounded off as hot rocks.

I have searched soil that has a lot of iron ore with no particular problem other than it takes more effort than I am interested in expending for what little I have found. If I was going to search the train stations I am thinking of it would be a must to use IM-16 or be in null about all the time. The site would dictate the other settings. I know one thing it is either all nulls or all targets.

Sorry, not much help on this one but I pretty much shy away from locations next to train tracks or stations. There are others sites that are much more productive for the amount of effort expended. However, I am just about always ready for a hunt or at least will give it a go so let us know how it turn out.
