Is a new T2 imminent?

Just wondering if theres anyone in the know about a new T2?
Ive only just come to the descision that the T2 is for me but with the existing model being a few years old, Im wondering if theres something new on the horizon? Most detector manufacturers update their machines after a few years and Im wondering if Teknetics are about to do the same. I am waiting until the autumn (fall) for my new machine but any info would be most helpfull.

I'm wondering the same things, partly why I started the thread "Suggestions for the next generation (T2)" or something like that.
The Omega 8000 almost seems to be the next generation, but it's not on par with the T2 in a few areas still. Though better in many ways. I think there next machine will combine the two and add more programability.

Get the T2 limited..That is all you need.We did a test and buried the coin 12 inches and the top of the line whites dfx and others did not pick it up at all.The T2 limited or special edition picked it up no problem...
Deepest detector out there.

I have asked Teknetics to think of including a high frequency option in a new T2 model 71 Khz same as the Gold Bug it would be the ultimate machine if they do that. I have run tests on ancient La Tene 3 brooch the Gold Bug 9 inches in air the T2 6 2 inches in air. Mind you the top Minlabe did not "see" the brooch at all.

what kind of coin were you guys burying at 12 inches deep? i would like to try the same test with my treasure baron unit and see if it picks up the coin. thanks for any information..

A large cent and pack the dirt and then run water over it and let it dry.This should give you somewhat of the effect of a old buried coin.

12" on a large cent is no problem with my T2 OR my Minelab Safari.

I can pick up a Nickel at 12" with my T2 doing an airtest.

the more I go detecting the more I worry less about depth over 8"
