Is Anyone Interested In Owning A Parrot?

My baby sister is moving to a new complex and can't take her bird with her. She's like to find a good home for the bird. NO CHARGE, AS IN FREE. And he, Kiwi, comes with a big cage too.

n/t

Pete and Sherry will probably take the Parrot as they love birds and animals and provide for them when they are able to do so! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Pics? Not for me but for others who are interested

Kiwi is a Senegal Parrot & he's 12 years old. He loves other birds and bread sticks among other things. He comes with a large free standing cage.

wow just googled an image and they are beautiful!!!! I always thought about getting one but could never afford one, here is a pic from google

They are more than beautiful :). They are highly intelligent and very sensitive, bonding very strongly to their "flock" (people). Poicephalus are my favorite family of parrots. (I have 2 at present, a meyer's and a red-bellied.) Parrots as a rule aren't typical "pets" - if you are ready to give up aerosols, room deodorizers, non-stick cookware, candles, etc etc etc to keep them safe and healthy in your home, accommodate a flighted family member whizzing about your house (hacking off wing feathers to cripple these wild spirits is cruel although many do it anyway to make their own lives easier), and realize they are wild animals and can do some serious damage to your skin without warning over things that you may not even notice in the environment (new nail polish? a cat running past the window outside? something you may never understand?) - lol - then you can really have a rewarding relationship with these companions :). Of all of the parrots I've had, I've found the poicephs to be the most sensitive to change, and the perhaps the most in need of confident gentle handling - but the rewards have also been the greatest! They are so loving, funny, loyal...they are truly amazing blessings in God's creation!

(Senior Seeker - persuant to our earlier email I have someone who has parrots and is interested, and will forward your sister's phone number to him. But if nothing else works out for Kiwi, he will be welcome into our flock.)
