Is anyone on this Forum using the GP3500 or the GP4000?

Is anyone on this forum using one of these machines? How deep do they go on say coins, buttons, and artillery shells? Which one is better? Can you distinquish well between brass/coins and iron?
Thanks,
Dan

I can't speak for the 4000 but I have used the 3500, gpx, 2200-d and original 2000 and they all find any metal, except small foil type targets, shallow or deep. There is some difference in the signal between iron and non-ferrous targets but you will really have to train your ear...I don't count on the descrimination mode at all...if you are digging everything as I do Nugget hunting they are great detectors.......I will use mine at the beach but often stop digging after a couple of feet...

hope this helps
