Is Newforce Leaving the U.S.?...

I just spoke with Discovery Electronics which I understand is the home distribution base & repair facility for Newforce detectors here in the U.S. The fellow there told me that Newforce will no longer be available in the U.S. Newforce is totally pulling out of the U.S.! Now, what do we do if some of us would like to purchace one of their Newforce detectors? Myself, I was considering the purchase of a CS7umd. Will one of you other dealers pick up the Newforce distribution base, honor new & previous warranties, & have a repair facility available for Newforce here in the U.S.? What's the scoop with Newforce? Did I get the straight skinny on their pullout?

That is basically what I've been told as well. There may be a new program in place where there will be state distributors but nothing has been firmed up as yet. Also, there hasn't been a repair facility here in the U.S. and probably won't be one either. They have handled warranty problems by replacement, as I understand it. I don't know what you would have to do if your unit was out of warranty. Perhaps ship it across the pond for repair... <IMG SRC="/forums/images/frown.gif" BORDER=0 ALT="">

Don't worry new force ho sorry C-Scope UK. is working something new and it will be better for every one owners or not. The waiting will be worth it.
