Is Reverse Disc Possible with the Gs???

If not should I be looking at the Garreth or a Deepstar, the aquastar is just to expensive unless I can pick up a seccond hand unit. Is there and other modles out there with reverse disc.

The Aquastar & the Deepstar do not reverse discriminate like the Goldquest SS does.
For reverse discrimination requirements, the Goldquest SS is the one to choose. <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)">

.. this is done with the GSS, ie with which control? I am not that fimilar with Pi detectors, but I cant see how can be done with SAT. Treshold(Is it the same as treshold on vlf units) or frequency control.

You would use the pulse delay/frequency control.
Adjusting this control on the Goldquest SS, adjust many different functions in the circuitry besides pulse delay. This control will allow the unit to be re-tuned toward selective metals, thus making it more responsive to it. If you had it tuned for small jewelry and you were to retard the delay control, and the target dropped out, experience with use will allow you to have a good guess as to dig or not.
For the most part retarding this control has little affect on the depth of the target under the coil if the signal remains. This is unlike most PI detectors with just a pulse delay control, retarding it usually causes great loss in depth.
This reverse discrimination is not something one would do to ID all your targets. It really works it
