Is the G2 going to be the heater for me - Part II

we had and are having lots of northerly wind as i type this post. when i got up this morning i had planned on returning the jr Gman and go on with my life, but i said, what the heck, lots of wind, lets give it one more go.

i got some encouragement from my buddy nuke em in england, he did really good on one of his beaches the other day.

so off i go this afternoon for low tide spin............o m g, like low boY said below, she hits good on all size targets...........u just have to have targets to find and today she was on the meat.

clad, toe ring even and some sort of thick, thin, large, and small pieces of brass.........looking for info. if u have any. my buddy tony said they are pieces of shell fragments from the firing range 5 miles north.

anyway the G2 got a great rating today and my plans to return are offff.

more to follow

Thought i was on the beach forum for a momnet when I was reading your post....had to do a double take.... ..I bought an omega for coin shooting and man if that thing was any lighter it would blow away. I love it. There has been alot of anticipation and good things said about the G2 . I Also picked up an excal and looking forward to coming down you way again. take care and happy hunting....chilly

can ya still run the sens at about full tilt, or did ya have to back her down alot to keep it from chattering??? Are ya getting any depth outta it either dry sanding it or wet hunting??

Hollar back when ya can... Mark ( ohio )

Max,

So you are keepin it! Well that is good. I will be hopefully testing one in a week or 2. What kind of depth? Thanks for th eupdate.

Gerry,
Gerry it is a new Teknetics nugget machine. Monte did a huge post on them. There is a Teknetics forum here. Check it out.
Best Regards,
Steve

impressed me, as I posted last week, when I worked it here in Oregon. Heck, I was already impressed as I related in my G2 Evaluation post, but continue to be as I worked it on the beach and even more inland at densely littered sites.

Nice post and I'm glad you're hanging on to the G2. It's and ideal companion to my Omega, to be sure. The 5" DD in my trashier sites and the stock 11" DD on the beaches and open areas. I'm sure you have mellower breaches than I do, but it still handled Oregon beaches better than most detectors I've used there.

Good luck on your next trip out!

Monte

yes max i do believe those pieces of brass are shell ordinance fragments.... delaware beaches have alot of those fragments... they usually come onto the beach after sand replenishment...
