Is the iron check in pinpoint, or performed in the mode you are hunting in, and a limit to depth? How does it perform on bottlecaps and round iron?

The pinpoint button doesn't switch to iron mode . The one button sharing both frequency scan and iron check is used independently from the pin point button. If you want to check a target for iron ID, you move the coil off to the side, push the the iron check button and hold it, then start scanning the target. The coil must be in motion in order for it to function. The audio sounds very similar to that of the AT Series iron audio function.
