Is the S-12 Better than the Tornado??

Hi all,

I just wanted to know if the s-12 is better than the original tornado coil and i would find more stuff such as gold with it.

Thanks
Kevin

I don't know if its better, but the 12" S12
is lighter than the 10" Tornado coil.

Bigger means more depth and better coverage.
Lighter means its easier on you.

How well do you know your Sovereign?? Can you pick out a deep target with the Tornado coil? If you do you will see the S12 will go deeper and cover more ground that the stock coil. This coil will see a bit more too so in trash areas you will have to go slower too for it to see the good targets in with the bad targets.
These coils are good coils, but if you don't know your Sovereign going to the S12 will not guaranty any better finds that you get with the stock coil.

The 15 inch WOT is a good coil for some areas, but for me it was too big a clumsy plus a little heavy too. I do more park, ball field, school yards and some church and private yards and find that for a bigger coil the S12 works better for me. Now if I was a beach or open field hunter the WOT may work better as there are less targets for the coil to see at one time plus the ground coverage would be better with the WOT.

hi,
i feel it not alittle like a wot coil , its alot like a wot coil. only real difference youll find is in the weight. if you put a wot bottom to bottom with a S-12 coil you see theres only an inch and a half difference in the outside diameter of the two coils. weight is the main issue. both are great beach coils or open field coils.
i have to agree with Rick as far as getting to many targets under either coil but that takes some practice . both coils go deep. the stock 10 will go deep also.
