Can't figure this out. The more I hunt, the more I find. The more I find, the more I want to hunt. There's nothing better than digging a hole and seeing a little silver disk with dirt stuck all over it come out. NOW IS THERE????? The heart gets to pounding and you feel like this is REAL reason why you LOVE doing this..... Am I wrong??? Or am I ill????? LOL

Well. I have been a "SICK PUPPY." for 41 years com the 11 of this month. You will learn to live with it and just have fun and fill you pouch. Well, what's wrong with that!!!? Boy, I would not have it any other way. My Life has been good!!!. HH...Jesse.

Yes--you are ill, VERY ILL!!!---The good news is--from your explanation of your symptons, I can diagnose your illness-it's called "tectinitis"!--The bad news is-there is absolutely no known cure for it once contracted, it's a lifetime affliction.--The only recourse one has when a flare up occurs, is to grab ones detector & rush out to the nearest park, beach--WHEREVER hopeing to acquire a "silver fix".--This has been know to help those with this affliction for a day-two days-perhaps even A WEEK (in some rare cases).---How's all that for $50 words?? :bouncy:--I wish you the very best with this "problem" you have!---Signed, another SICK PUPPY. ------Del

I have had the addicton since 1962, back then silver was just money. The fever will probably prove fatal some time in the future.-----------Duke

DETECT IT AWAY??? I think I know what it felt like for the ole 49ers back in the Gold Rush Days now that I am wanting to get out more and more myself and dig them Nice Shiny Silver's out of the ground. I just hope that the Silver keeps coming for me or I might end up in a Padded Cell! Good Luck and HH to you N2Treasure! Great post!

I dont think that anyone knows, I kinda look at it this way, Its better than fishing or golf. I have done both and let me tell you that it's certainly less expensive, I can do it by myself and not wait for that guy who said he would go but dosent want to get up in the morning, I dont need a license or a boat or a set of golf clubs. A good detector is actually less expensive! And you can detect just about anywhere. Its just that my wife says I cant take the detector to church on Sundays anymore because she was embarrassed when I held up a 62 quarter and showed it to the congregation after finding it just off the parking lot in grass, she also said I have to stay out of the outfield with the detector at my grandsons little league games. I really dont think there is anything wrong with going nuts after finding a nice merc or a Indian head penny. I overheard my family talking today, something about an intervention and a commitment, oh, well while they do that I can sneak out and hit the schoolyard down the street. I just know there's some silver left there!

All coins were silver or copper cents, it did not have to be dug, you got in change. silver dollars were availble for a dollar apiece at banks.Digging silver then was like digging clad now . If I only had the foresight.

it's an "addictive" sickness:lmfao:

Detecting stimulates the most primal natural instinct that was part of an involuntary, uncontrolable , reflex to hunt and gather to survive. Once this part of the brain is reawakened, it is hard to supress. That good relaxed feeling you get when detecting must be from a flow of chemicals in the brain that reward you for doing what you were designed to do. Just go with it and enjoy it. Remember, you heard it here first . HH. LaDigger
