As you can see in an earlier post I bought a Fisher 1270, well I was messing around with it air testing different coins and rusty nails and such, this time I had I nickel in my hand and was to lazy to get up and go to the bottom of the coil instead I just air tested it from the top of the coil facing me that nickel and all other coin I later tested made a clear and distinct target response all the way up to 6" before the bottom of the control box I could not believe it so I tested it again and again, then I pulled a tape on it 23" is that not the craziest thing ever. now on the bottom of the coil 13" on a nickel. I have had may detector (bought my first Charlotte, NC Coinmaster 1986) Never seen this before. it just blows me away.
