Is this possible for Deus to do?

I think I need to ask this since I have not heard anyone mention it... Since I am new to Deus I may be just uninformed to what it can do or to its technology limits...

Since the coil houses all the frequency and electronic wiring itself, is it possible for XP to make a coil based on Pulse induction (PI) technology so the Deus could be used as a dedicated salt water detector? If so, they could pretty much rule the MD world.

Just curious,

Dennis

Ok, so many looks at this thread but no responses makes me feel I must be in the dark here... I have to admit I don't know that much about the Deus or MD for that fact. I am just at the beginning newbie stage of treasure hunting so if my question seems very uninformed, please just log it as a newbie question... which I am... LOL

From what I am reading the Deus is able to do some salt water hunting, but I've read that some have had problems in salty and/or black sand. That is why I am wondering if is it possible for them to make a PI coil that can be used by the Deus. Is this something that is out of the realm of its capabilities for this machine?

Would this make the remote need two different downloadable program settings? One for the regular hunting and the other program needed for the PI coil.

Like I mentioned, if you could add a PI coil to this kit, it would definitely rattle some cages for other detector makers. To me it makes sense, since if the vitals are in the coil, then why can't XP put the PI circuitry in the coil?

Does anyone know the answer to my question... It's OK to say... do more research.

Thanks again for fielding a newbies question...
