It wasn't much time about 45 min while the sun was out, we have had about a week of on/off rain to get rid of the 18" of snow we got between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It topped out about 44 degree's and the detecting bug got the best of me and my detecting buddy. I went to a local park that we have just been pounded with MXT'S, DFX"S, EXII, Tesoros and my wife's Ace 250 which found her a 1874 IH this last summer in about the same area. I used the X-8 coil, X-1 and factory presets Quickstart smartfind with the sensitivity set to 20 semi-auto. I wish I had more time, I was just getting warmed-up as the temp was going down.
The EXII is so different than every other detector I have ever used, but the sounds are mellow and not irritating. I have a long way to go before I become proficient with it. But I am very encouraged and had a lot of fun. I hope the weather warms up enough to get some weekend time in.
Happy Hunting to all that can.
