It is the first day of the first month of the first year (Gen 8:13)

Ever put 2 and 2 together and come up with an interesting thought? Besides today being 1-1-11 (great for those numerologists it is an easy number to remember), I find this day every year to be interesting by comparing it with Noah opening the ark to find a new world (dry land not a single sinner to be found). So many things come to mind...the representation of the Cross....our sins purged and we have a new life in Him. The water...abundant water (much like our baptisms in rivers and other large water sources)...and what do we do with this new found day...the beginning of all God has for us and the sacrifice made to get us 'clean'.

Am I the only one who sees something or many things special about this chapter and verse and the first day of the first month of another new year?

The New Year we celebrate is just the beginning of a new calendar year on the Gregorian calendar. That is physical. What about the spiritual New Year Day? Something to ponder, eh?

Happy and Blessed New Year to all

Pete

Pete,

Thank you! May you have a blessed New year.

Thank you, Pete, and, YES, it is a time of new beginning for serving and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ more than ever and then the blessings will flow as we love and obey HIm in faith believing in Who He is....the Savior of the world....and I give Him thanks for saving me and doing for me what I needed to endure and overcome everything that happened and every trial that I will face as long as I am on this earth as a mortal being! Our Savior is always with us as long as we let Him be, for He will not force Himself upon anyone but it is not God's will that any should perish but that all should come to repentance of their sins! May God bless you more and more in the New Year and always! Amen! Ma Betty
