It pays to dig it all, and I do dig a LOT of trash

Goes4ever

New member
this is to show you, that Goes4ever digs trash too.........and a lot of it, I want people to see everything I dig is not just treasure!

went back to an old playground/ballfield area I have hammered in the past, last year I pulled 20+ silvers, countless wheats out of this area, but never a single old nickel. Well today I went determined to dig a buffalo or V nickel, this place is about 100 yrs old...........

well I tired so hard to dig old nickels, closest I got was a 1950 jefferson! Look at this pile, I dug every iffy signal I got, I didn't care what it registered as. You see the large square rust thing? Well I always try to dig large iron like that out in case it is masking stuff, well I pulled it from the hole, rescanned the hole and got a sweet tone, right under the rusty square thing was the religious medallion, so I guess it pays to remove the trash! If I had not dug that iron I would have never got the medallion!

I dug beaver tails, pulltabs, etc....trying so hard for old nickels.........just wasn't meant to be! Ended up with 3 wheats, and 2 of them had nails in the hole with them. I just about got this place cleaned out, there is nothing left there but crap signals. A lot of deep square nails....iffy but I didn't care I took the chance and dug em!

Good finds , I always dig alot of trash. It use to bother me when I just started, but now I know it just is part of it.

If I have time I try to dig all signals when on a site that possibly holds old stuff, now if I am at a newer park, no way I am gonna dig all pulltabs and can slaw...lol

Congrats on a good hunt!

Ya gotta dig it all. Sometimes I won't dig all the trashy signals, and I probably miss a lot of good finds. I am still working on this patience thing I have a problem with.

Sure does take a lot of digging trash to find many of the nice goodies nulled out by iron objects...but Ma just cannot dig that much to dig up everything! I would be done for right away! Congrats on the will power and perseverence to find the nice older coins and pendant that you did find! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

That's encouraging to know that you dig trash. As a beginner I find it somewhat frustrating, well I've only been out 2 times so far and I did find it annoying to have a good signal to end up being trash. Operator error I'm sure. I find myself being the same way in life sometimes. Some times in Scripture I find what I think to be an irrelevant passage, but when I truly start to dig deeper in Gods Word I find that there are more treasures below the surface than I could have imagined.

By the way. I like your youtube posts. Take care and God bless.
