went out before the rains came. went to a school i wanted to try my new 8"x6" sef coil. this place has been hit very very hard. i was hoping
to get some real deep older coins using a program of bryce's from andy sabisch's book. found two dimes, two nickels and two pennies. but before i found all those i found another gold ring. that's two rings in two weeks.
this one is 10k. it's white gold and like the other it has crosses on it. but no diamonds in this one. all items were less than four inches down. very wet ground. i hope it's a sign of things to come. the program i used is on page 115 of andy's book.
the pic is the best i could do. i just couldn't get a better focus. :clapping:

Nice going widebody. Heck, at the rate you are going you should have a pile of gold rings by the end of the year. GL & HH and here's wishing you'll make it three for three.:clapping:

i'll keep trying your program. it's hard to find any deep coins around here. i've stumbled onto a number of mders who tell me they been working these parks for years. i got some ideas. just hope most of them hunters were lazy.

We are experiencing the same things Widebody in our area. Good targets and keepers are getting really
hard to find. Congrats on the gold ring...that's a sweet find. GL and HH Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

thanks GN. as far as coins go i think we here in the little towns of S.W. Washington have a disadvantage in history. we don't have much history. just logging, fur trading and fisheries.here in kelso/ longview wa. area it was logging and trappers. even that didn't start til around the end of the 1800's. they didn't need coins. just trading stuff. food and blankets and such til they got up river to Portland, Or. they had a better ciiy set up and more coins and relics and such.
my thinking is we're two hundred years behind the east coast in everything. just facts. i think the longview/ kelso area finally got to 40000 people on the last census. with all the pressure on the few parks we have i'd say it's going to be real hard to locate any silver coins. imagination and some courage is needed. gunna take courage to knock on doors and get permission to hunt old yards. one idea i found on this forum was to take out an ad in the local paper. seems to work for some. as some have said," they're plannung their spring hunts and researching now".
and finally, it will be just grand to find that third gold ring. i just might. i know i'm understanding my ex se more and more. i have less temptation to bang it against a wall. based on what i've read in the last week in my book and on the forum, i've been missing a lot of signals that tell me i'm walking on deep targets.
i will learn. i must learn. then i will find!!! :yo:.
