One of 2 thing happened to you being we haven't heard from you, maybe both. You either got lost:shrug: looking for one of those sites as you went way back in boondocks again, or you got the scent of a female again and was too busy to worry about detecting:cheekkiss:. Then again maybe you are probably detecting her 150 year old lawn of her house.
I got out with my wife detecting finally and she kicked my butt with quantity, but I got quality with the Explorer. She used the MXT and got 121 coins in the 4 hours of detecting, but all new. I got 50 with the Explorer with 8 older Wheaties and a 1881 IH. The Wheaties and IH was with trash, so they didn't read right on the smart find, but with the tones and running the iron mask at a -15 I was able to pick these up. I run ferrous tones and seen this places is loaded with rusty bottle caps as they sounded just like a good coin, but read at the bottom of the screen.
James if you don't see you soon we may have to send out a search party looking for you.

Good to hear that you found a few good finds this weekend Rick. I see that you beat me with that 1881 Indian Head of yours for next meeting. But you never know until the fat lady sings if I will find an older one yet. Hit a few spots this weekend but finds were tough. Did find a few other spots though and just need to return to them and get permission. One is an old School with a really old Balldiamond attached to it and the other is the original Balldiamond of a town that me and Randy went to on Sunday. You wouldn't even know that a Balldiamond was on this piece of land unless you looked very carefully since it just looks like a vacant lot and It is always mowed. The only thing that gives it away is that the pitchers mound is still visible but you really have to look to see it. Can you say Barber and Early Merc's? I will try and swing out during the week and I just wanted to tell you that I bought a 10.5" Stock Coil for the Explorer 2 off of Ebay last week for a mere $34.20 with shipping. It is used a bit but it works and it was well worth the money. Talk with you later Rick!

James,

That is the coil I heard about and wish I would have seen it as I would have got it or you would have had to pay much more for it. I need one for my XS II and may have to get new as I may be selling mine soon and want to keep my Joey and the X12 of Sun Rays so I will need a coil if I do.
I got a new set of the Rat phones I want you to see what you think of them, not enough volume to me with my bad hearing and want to see what you think of the tone quality compared to the NDT you are using.

Rick

I will try and make it out today or tomorrow. Then I can test those Rat Phones and tell you what I think.
