Jerry rigged my 250 and ran the headphone jack out the rear. Works great. Don't know why Garrett couldn't have done it.

I have been looking at the various headphone modifications and thinking about moving mine, do you have pictures of the headphone jack mounting you have? Thanks
 
I was in a hurry so just taped my female jack to the underside of the cuff with good old duct tape with the end of the jack flush with the rear edge of the cuff.. Solid as a rock and nobody can see it.. I'll probably mount it with something else later but it works great and that headphone cord is completely out of the way.. Did you look at David's installation?
