Jewelry markings

At first I thought I had found a silver ring but then I saw the marking 14KF. I thought it was 14k white gold FILLED, but I saw where that should be GF instead of just KF. Is it 14K gold(white)?

Not sure.. Here's a previous thread on the marking

It is pretty easy to tell most gold plated or gold filled jewelry from the real thing. Some solid gold items have markings other than 14k or similar. I think Zales uses some weird mark to mean fine gold. Take the ring to somebody that buys scrap gold and tell them you are interested in selling it for scrap. They'll test it and weigh it for you. I am not suggesting you sell it. How about a picture?
