With the heat being what it is the lakes in your area may start to
dry up a bit which mean where people used to swim may be dry which mean
it might be a good place to metal detect for swimmers lost items.

good idea Old..but that HEAT part kinda
puts the damper on things.. so to speak

I may use the scooper i found to dredge while the dog
plays in the water if i get WET ... OH WELL!!!!!!

Nice thought but with the periodic torrential rains, the river is higher than in a typical spring melt. Nearly over the banks in August. Unheard of!
