Just Decided x terra 705

MEV

New member
hello guys after lots and lots of research i decided to buy x terra 705, but i have two choices on coils 7.5 khz and 18. 75

I'm interested on gold nuggets and coins rings etc , im not interested on a gold nugget the size of this zero ------ o.

what size nugget does the 18. 75 kHz can detect

and what size the 7.5 coil can detect

and what is the depth of this two coils

thanks for your response

Again, any frequency of X-TERRA coil is capable of detecting anything metal. The higher frequecy coil is better suited for lower conductive targets than the lower frequency coils. So if you are primarily a gold prospector or jewelry hunter, I'd suggest the HF coils. Large coils typically detect deeper than smaller coils. But smaller coils will separate targets better than a large coil. DD coils perform better in areas with higher levels of mineralization. But concentric coils will provide a more accurate TID in areas of moderate mineralization. As many have suggested depth is relative to MANY factors. But when properly set up, in my moderately mineralized soil, I'm confident I can pull a dime from 7 inches (and a quarter from 9 inches) with my 705 and the elliptical coil. JMHO HH Randy

In the years I have detected I have found my best finds with the smaller coils. Looking for Gold go for the Higher Frequency coil, maybe the 5x10 DD HF coil.

Mev feel free to give me a call. Can help you with your coil decision and help you on price! Thanks, Bart
